Who is Presort

Presort opened on July 1, 1991, with a simple mission: to deliver alternative mailing solutions through excellent customer service, a commitment to quality, and dedication to innovation.

Back then, we were known as St. Louis Presort and we were operating out of a basement in historic Soulard, St. Louis. We’ve come a long way in the twenty-plus years that we’ve been in business. These days, we have a huge facility (including a 60,000-square foot warehouse), we employ 100 dedicated people, we process over 650,000 pieces of mail a day, and we are expanding beyond St. Louis. But throughout all of our growth, the four pillars of our business have remained unchanged: Solutions, Service, Quality, and Innovation.

And our hard work delivers results: Presort has received a perfect score (100%) on our last four external reviews from the United States Postal Service. At Presort, our passion is mailing. Thinking outside the mailbox is what we do! We’ve got the insight, the experience, and the machinery to mail everything from pizza boxes to paper bags. But for us, innovation doesn’t end with exciting new ways to mail unconventional packages – the innovation that really matters to our clients is coming up with more efficient new ways to run our machines, or working with the local Postal Customer Council to address changes within the postal community and the United Stated Postal Service. At Presort, a St. Louis mailing services company, innovation doesn’t just mean coming up with new ideas that sound cool – it means consistently focusing on the new ideas that will benefit our customers businesses and bottom lines.

The USPS has not directly received taxpayer-dollars since the early 1980s with the minor exception of subsidies for costs associated with the disabled and overseas voters.
